Opinions, News and Advice On Mobile Phones

Having trouble picking yourself a new mobile phone? Worry not more! Here are my top tips for choosing a new mobile phone, hope you enjoy it.

  1. Choose a phone you’ll enjoy using. Most of us use your mobiles every single day so it needs to be a phone that won’t cause you lots of grief!
  2. Make sure you choose a phone that has all the features you need for business and leisure. If you want gaming then the only real option is to get an iPhone because it has so many more choices, but for everything else there are probably better options.
  3. Don’t pay too much for the contract! Remember that the contract is the most expensive part of the deal so you don’t want to overpay.

Hope that helps! Leave your own tips below.

In my last post I talked about the HTC Desire and how much I love using it – but do you think I’ve paid too much for the contract? I’m currently on a £35pm contract for 18 months, which seems like a lot of money although I get ulimited calls and a rnage of other things that make it worthwhile. I wasn’t too keen on getting longer than an 18 month deal which is why I chose this contract – who wants to be stuck into a contract for 36 months!

On a side note, I’m trying to decide which my next phone is going to be. It would be great to get the Desire HD when it comes out, hopefully it will live up to expectations. I can definitely confirm that I’m glad I didn’t get an iPhone though!

I love my HTC Desire! In my opinion there is no better phone int he world. I don’t want this post to sound too much like a sales letter, but I really enjoy using the Desire and I don’t even think I’ve got half way through what it can do yet.

If I had one wish it would be that the app store on Android was a bit better. It’s not bad at the moment, but I have an iPod touch and there are certainly more things you can do with that. Having games like Angry Birds makes a big difference, as hopefully it will mean that more and more advertisers and game developers start developing for Android.

On a side note, what’s your favourite app for Android? I’m always looking for new ones so it would be interesting to get your thoughts. Let me know what you think.
